The method

The Zentangle Method was born in 2004 from an idea of Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, and uses drawing as a way to create beautiful abstract images and at the same time to help enter into a state of focused attention (mindfulness). It is often addressed as "yoga for the mind" or "drawn meditation".

Zentangle uses simple materials and is affordable for everyone. No need to know how to draw or feel like an "artist," just be able to write ICSO in capital letters.

The emphasis is not on the final result but on the process, through a series of 8 simple steps.

Recent studies have shown effectiveness in reducing anxiety and self-critical thinking, improving mood tone, and increasing stress resistance.

The practice also helps fine motor skills and creative thinking, making it suitable for all ages.
